  • Yoga-nastics

    LEVEL: Intermediate

    2 - 3 hours

    The more variety we can add to our practice, the more mobility and awareness we can achieve. In this workshop we will explore new ways of moving on our mats by incorporating gymnastics style postures and movements to our yoga practice. This will be an opportunity to have some fun with skills more often seen on a balance beam than a yoga mat! By bringing in elements of gymnastic transitions and training concepts, we can help bring more grace and fluidity to our vinyasa practice.

  • Put Your Backbend Into It

    ALL LEVELS

    2 - 3 hours

    This is a workshop for anyone wanting to take their backbends to the next level, or to feel more confident going into backbending postures, by focusing on dropbacks, tick-tocks, and walkovers. These fun but challenging movements are empowering and strengthening! Looking at the anatomy and the physics of the backbend, we will go through techniques and tips for safely and effectively adding them to your practice!

  • Get Your Feet Up!

    LEVEL: can be tailored to all levels!

    2 hours

    A fun vinyasa flow class designed to get your feet up off the mat — that means lots of arm balances and inversions! With variations for everyone from arm balance beginners to the expert, we will move through a fun sequence of transitions and balances that will get the whole body involved.

  • Inversions In Motion

    ALL LEVELS

    2 - 3 hours

    A workshop for handstand newbies as well as seasoned hand-balancers, which will explore some of the many transitions to and from a handstand. Building from a strong foundation, we will move through a fun array of transitions and balances, using different muscle groups to get the whole body involved as we grow our hand-standing practice.

  • Work those Glutes!

    ALL LEVELS

    They’re our biggest and most powerful muscles in our body: the glutes! Glutes of steel don’t just look good, they’re integral to a strong and healthy body. We’re gonna get that booty working as we flow through postures that stretch, strengthen, and also relax our backsides, working towards having a most groovy gluteus!

  • What The Fascia!

    ALL LEVELS

    2 - 3 hours

    Flexibility is a largely misunderstood concept. In this workshop we will look at the importance of flexibility and its relation to strength, we will deepen our understanding of the anatomy of flexibility, and we will explore ways to improve our own mobility through working the fascia lines. Finally I will equip you with some tools and techniques to take with you into your own asana practice to continue working towards greater mobility, flexibility, and strength.

  • Off The Wall!

    LEVEL: Anyone who can hold a handstand against the wall

    2 - 3 hours

    Using the wall for inversions is a wonderful way to increase strength and learn techniques for your inversions, but sometimes we get stuck there! In this workshop we will look specifically at how to become independent in our inversions and not rely on the wall. By delving into the reasons we become dependent on the wall -- physics and fear! -- we will establish a foundation of physical balance and inner trust in ourselves to take our inversions to the middle of the room!

  • Tranquil Transitions

    ALL LEVELS

    2- 3 hours

    The physical practice of yoga helps us attain greater mobility, which leads us to feel better in our daily lives and thus be happier and more awesome people! In this workshop, we will break down common yoga transitions and postures, looking at anatomy based techniques that will help you grow your practice faster. By moving intelligently on our mats, we build the strength and flexibility that is the necessary foundation for a strong yoga practice.

  • One. Free. Love.

    ALL LEVELS

    1.5 - 2 hours

    A creatively sequenced vinyasa class that explores the three mantras "I am one", "I am free," and "I am love." These three concepts taken separately are beautiful mantras to consider different ways of looking at how we live our lives. Together they create an uplifting meditation. In this class we will use our physical practice to explore these concepts as we move through postures to unlock their meaning, so we can take them from the mat and into our lives.
