Why you shouldn't give up...

"Brainy What-Why-How"

Your weekly nibble of brain-based tips to help you move and feel great!

๐Ÿง

What:

I reckon you're the kind of person who's always working on SOMETHING about yourself...

or looking for answers for a problem you've got.

(That's right ๐Ÿ˜Œ I see you ๐Ÿ˜)

And you shouldn't give up...

Why:

If you read just a little bit about the nervous system,

(which dictates how we move, think, feel, and experience everything)

then you'll come across the word "neuroplasticity" A LOT.

And that just means "this isn't permanent."

Despite our nervous systems loving patterns--so things can SEEM immutable--

the fact is that nothing about your nervous system is fixed forever.

How:

How to take this information and do something useful with it?

Here's a rule of thumb: think of the brain like a muscle.

If something is hard, that's just revealing where you're weak

If something isn't working well, then it needs stimulation.

If you find socialising difficult, then avoiding people isn't going to make it easier -- you need to practice being social.

If your habits around getting exercise aren't helping you, then strengthen the habits that are weak with practice.

And trust in your NEURAL PLASTICITY. Trust that bit by bit, your brain is learning this new way of activating.

Sending you love and trust in yourself. Just because it's hard doesn't mean you can't do it!
