A funny move for more controlled hand balances

"Brainy What-Why-How"

Your weekly nibble of brain-based tips to help you move and feel great!

🧠

What:

Doing the kinda weird arm movements I demonstrate in this short videocan help you control your balance* better!

*In things like handstands, arm balances, and floating from downward-dog to the front of your mat -- this month's focus on Move With Adell 😉

Why?

The movements I'm doing in that video glide two nerves (the ulnar nerve and the median nerve).

These two nerves innervate muscles in the forearm and hands that flex your fingers and wrists (like you do when you give someone a sassy 🦁 Rawr🐯 motion -- I know you do it, you saucy minx you!)

That clawing action is what will give you a HUGE amount of control in where your weight goes when you're balancing on your hands!

How:

Join me over on Move With Adell where we're working on cleaning up our float forward and playing with some handstands too!

Today's new flow includes these nerve glides along with a gentle rinsing out sequence of moves to ease you into this month of handstand and fun!

"Squeaky clean and filled up on fresh air especially into the areas that we worked on. Repeating the sequence is definitely beneficial and it feels amazing! There were some particularly lovely moments where I just had to hit the pause button and put on repeat for a little longer. Thank you so much!"
