When the brain drills DON'T WORK...

"Brainy What-Why-How"

Your weekly nibble of brain-based tips to help you move and feel great!

🧠

What:

You've tried some of the "brain hacks" I've shared and sometimes they don't work.

Why:

There are many possible explanations, but it's usually to do with dosage* -- getting the right amount of input for your unique nervous system.

Typically, the higher the dose, the more effective the medicine

...like, higher than you might think.

So: if a few hip circles in your Warrior 3 didn't change anything for you, it's probably because you need to do A LOT more of them, maybe with ankle weights on!

When this "greater input = greater output" DOESN'T WORK HOWEVER...

is when your nervous system is threatened.

I'm talking about:

• you're burnt out

• you haven't had a good night's sleep in ages

• you're fuelling your body with processed foods and nutrient-weak snacks

• you're spending all your time indoors staring at screens

• you're surrounded by people who make you feel like shit

How:

To make brain drills work,

you have to make your central nervous system responsive to change.

So:
🛌 take time to rest
🌳 walk in nature
🌒 prioritise sleep
🥑 eat whole foods
🤸🏽‍♂️ move your body
💞 spend time with people who put a genuine smile on your face.

The only "wonder-drug" is doing this list!!!! Consistently!!
